The following are problems I experienced with Lasercosmetica (LC), beginning on 10/12/11, in both their White Plains and Corporate offices:

    1) not supplying required medication on promised dates; 2) abdicating responsibility for promised services; 3) not returning phone calls; 4) not replying to emails; 5) not letting patients contact their MD; 6) not letting patients express their complaints to the owner; 7) promising corporate responses (to complaints) that never happen; 8) hanging up on customer’s phone calls; 9) LYING during the course of the resulting credit card dispute investigation.

On my 1st appointment with LC, the Clinical Director at that time, Glenise Gomez, promised to have Lidocaine available for my 2nd appt. Between my 1st and 2nd appts, Glenise was transferred to the Manhattan office

When I came back for my second appt, nobody knew anything about the Lidocaine. Additionally, I now had to inconveniently schedule a third appointment. When I contacted Glenise concerning the missing Lidocaine, Glenise ignored her promise to me and passed the buck to the returning WP Clinic Director “Theresa”.

The next day I called Theresa, leaving 3 msgs, two on v-mail and one with a live person. Theresa did not call me back until only “after” I requested a refund (keep reading…).

The following day I called their 888-458-5793 number and spoke with “Brittany” asking to speak with the MD, but Brittany refused to forward me so I asked her to please contact the MD to make the Lidocaine available to me for my next visit, and asked for someone to call me back to confirm. After the day passed without a return call, I called Brittany again who told me she spoke with a supervisor Stephanie Sharpe who was “supposed” to call me back that day. I told Brittany she did not sound so sure and then Brittany hung up on me! Thinking that could have been a mistake I redialed and although someone picked up the phone, they did not speak and then they hung up. Additionally, Stephanie Sharpe never called me back until one MONTH later (keep reading…).

I then called corporate 212-822-8527 and asked to speak with the owner. The operator refused to allow me to speak with the owner or give me their name or let me leave a voice mail (I was spending $5,000 on their services). Instead I was given a generic email address: info@lasercosmetica and was told to address “Stephanie” (they refused to give me Stephanie’s last name). I documented the above occurrences to “Stephanie” letting her know I was no longer interested in their services after the way I had been treated to date, and that I would be disputing the charges with my credit card company. The “Stephanie” connected with this email NEVER contacted me, unless it was Stephanie ‘Sharpe’ who waited one MONTH to call (keep reading…).

That day I also emailed Glenise, summarizing my problems and asking her for the owner’s contact information. Glenise replied telling me she had forwarded my concerns to the corporate office and that “someone” would be calling me “soon”. No one from corporate EVER contacted me.

That day I sent my dispute documentation to my credit card company.

Two weeks later I followed up with Glenise asking for the contact info of the LC staff member who manages refunds to see if I could facilitate the dispute process. Glensie NEVER replied.

One week later I sent both Stephanie and Glenise an email indicating that if LC did not reply back to me I would post this review that you are reading now, on all Internet LC review web sites.

Although my problems were not reason enough to receive any past replies, the promise of negative Internet reviews obviously was reason enough because the very next day I received a voice mail and email from Stephanie Sharpe. Her v-mail said, direct quote: “Theresa and myself have both left you numerous messages without your return back”. Her email said, direct quote: “Both Theresa and myself have been unable to reach you via telephone”.

Both statements were blatant lies in the attempt to turn the facts around and convince my credit card company that I was somehow at fault and not eligible for a refund. However such pathetic lies were easily revealed by my going to the Verizon cell web site and running a “usage detail” report of all incoming phone calls between the desired dates. This report demonstrated to my credit card company that Stephanie Sharpe, to my understanding a “Supervisor” of all Clinic Directors and other staff, acting on behalf of Lasercosmetica, LIED to a customer during the course of a credit card dispute investigation!

All the above information is factual, and additional details were sent to my credit card company to process my dispute. Solicit Lasercosmetica services at your own risk.

Rich – Thanks for the detailed review. That sounds like a terrible experience. I can’t believe they treated you like that. I too had a terrible experience with lasercosmetica of New York. I was over charged twice and never refunded.
