In this modern age, staying connected with customers is more important than ever. Customers expect to know exactly what the company of their choice is doing at all times, and they want to have an easy and accessible way to talk to the owners of that company at all times. No longer can executives hide in the shadows, responding to letters via snail mail. Now, they must be ready and willing to connect directly with their customers on a one-on-one basis. For most companies, this means building a website. With a robust online presence, they make themselves both visible and accessible.

With their new website, thedaygroup.net, the publishing and consulting firm The Day Group has made a great leap forward in this regard.

The streamlined website has multiple hot buttons customers can use to email the company’s sales and promotional staff. This email link isn’t buried at the bottom of a “Contact us” page, and it’s not connected to an elaborate online form that requires a password. Instead, the hot link is sprinkled liberally throughout the site. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to spot it.

Similarly, thedaygroup.net makes it ridiculously easy to order a product. When consumers click on the “Order Form” button, they’re taken to a straightforward form that takes less than 5 minutes to fill out. Once again, there’s no password required and no screen name to remember. Clients can simply fill out the form and make a payment on the following screen. This is very convenient for busy executives on the go who haven’t got the time to spend on elaborate ordering systems. The Day Group hit the nail on the head with this streamlined form.

Existing clients of The Day Group can also refer a friend to the publisher on thedaygroup.net. This form is similarly streamlined, but consumers are asked to provide the recipient’s name and phone number. The Day Group does provide one clever option here. Users can allow The Day Group to reveal their name, so the recipient knows where the sales call is coming form, or users can keep their own names hidden. This could be a boon if the requester is suggesting The Day Group for an uninformed boss. While the information from The Day Group might be helpful, the suggestion that the boss doesn’t know all of the ins and outs of the industry might be a tad awkward to handle. The Day Group removes that obstacle.
